Well, better late than never!!

Here are some piccies of my school library.

I have been concentrating on better displays in the library , including new books and encouraging this years new librarians to read and write a recommendation for favourite fiction books. They are very enthusiastic and have come up with some great ways to make the library more colourful like their recent "Make an Easter Egg" competition! (you can just see these !).

In the Non-Fiction section (top photo) I am in the process of tracking down some 'classification guides' as some students struggle with finding their way around. Maybe a poster or mobile. I am also trying to think about better labelling/ shelving for popular subjects like 'famous Kiwis". Anyone got any ideas?

I've put in a photo of the workroom after a delivery!! ..A work in progress!

I have since spent lots of money at Raeco stocking up on book coverings and tapes, and on my day off my colleague came in to work and ordered more because I had hidden them away in the cupboard and she didn't see them!! (oops!). So much for my organisation!

Finally on board now...

Weeks ago I took photos of the office in the library and have managed to do a fair bit of organising since. I managed to fill two big wheely bins with paper rubbish. I will attach before photos. Did make a little bit of mess to emphasise the sorting and organising that will be happening.
